KALAT (Kashmir English): Security forces killed five terrorists in a timely operation on the N-25 highway near Kalat, according to the Pakistan Army’s media wing (ISPR).
An attempt by terrorists to disrupt public movement on the N-25 near Kalat was thwarted. Security forces killed five terrorists during the operation and safely rescued 23 abductees from the terrorists’ hideout.
ISPR stated that six trucks, three buses, and two cars were recovered from the hideout, and a large quantity of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was seized.
The terrorists had established a checkpoint to carry out kidnappings, extortion, and vehicle hijackings.
Separately, security sources reported that terrorists attacked a passenger vehicle with an IED on Lajay Road in Kharan, injuring 10 laborers; security forces arrived at the scene and transported the injured to the hospital.
Four terrorists killed in intelligence-based operation in Mastung
Earlier, four terrorists were killed and two others injured during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Killi Siddique Abad area of Mastung district, Balochistan, security sources said on Saturday.
Security forces launched the operation on Friday after intelligence indicated the presence of a group of six to eight terrorists affiliated with Fitna Al Hindustan in Killi Siddique Abad, Killi Abad and adjoining areas.
Following the reports, seven combat teams launched the operation, while five blocking positions were established to prevent the movement of the terrorists.
Sanitisation operations began at around 9 am on Saturday. At approximately 1 pm, security personnel spotted a group of five to six suspected terrorists near Killi Shahnawaz, following which an engagement began.
The operation resulted in the killing of four terrorists, including the most-wanted Dr, Gurk, and Sajid, while two others were injured.
