KARACHI (Kashmir English): An alleged MDCAT 2026 exam paper circulating on social media has caused concern among candidates in Karachi; however, the Sindh Testing Service (STS) has declared the viral paper to be fake.
According to STS Karachi, the MDCAT 2026 paper circulating on social media platforms is not genuine, and candidates should not place any trust in this fake paper or the misleading material associated with it.
Advising MDCAT candidates to remain cautious of fake news and unverified material, the STS stated that the authenticity of the source should be verified before relying on any information or material regarding the exam.
An STS spokesperson urged candidates to focus on their preparation for the MDCAT 2026 rather than on unverified papers and other material circulating on social media. Candidates have also been instructed to arrive at the examination center at the scheduled time.
The STS emphasized that hard work and thorough preparation are the keys to success; therefore, candidates should not let fake material hinder their preparation and should arrive at the examination center on time, fully prepared for the exam.
MDCAT 2026 to be held today across country
The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026 will be held today, September 20, across the country, with preparations for the nationwide examination completed.
According to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), the entry exams will be conducted in 34 cities across Pakistan as well as an international centre in Riyadh, with a total of 138,160 candidates registered for the test.
According to PMDC data, 49,199 candidates are registered in Punjab, 38,841 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 34,233 in Sindh, 9,923 in Balochistan, 2,761 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 1,721 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 1,245 in Islamabad.
A total of 237 candidates are registered to appear at the Riyadh centre.
PMDC said a question bank comprising around 8,000 questions had been prepared for MDCAT 2026, with experts from around 80 subject areas involved in its development.
