NEELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): Adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, visited Neelum Valley to meet the victims of Indian shelling and review the damage caused by the shelling.
He was accompanied by President PML-N Azad Kashmir Shah Ghulam Qadir, Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir Khushal Khan, and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Rana Abdul Jabbar.
Rana Sanaullah, who also holds the portfolio of the Inter-Provincial Coordination ministry, reviewed the damage caused by Indian shelling in Jura, Shahkot, and Bagna areas of the district.
Rana Sanaullah distributed relief cheques to the families of martyrs and injured individuals, including Rs 10 million each to the heirs of two martyrs, Rs 2 million each to two seriously injured individuals, and Rs 1 million each to four injured individuals.
On this occasion, the Federal Minister of State offered Fateha for the eternal peace of the martyrs and prayed for their higher ranks. The minister expressed solidarity with the people of Neelum Valley, paying tribute to their bravery in the face of Indian aggression.
He assured them that the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistani Armed Forces stand with them. The minister further highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to bring international attention to the Kashmir issue through effective diplomacy.
Speaking on the occasion, Rana Sanaullah condemned India’s targeting of civilian populations, calling it unjust and reprehensible.
He warned that if India makes another mistake, it will face a bigger response. He further praised the Pakistani forces for their befitting reply to the enemy and assured the victims of LoC that the government will take all possible steps for their rehabilitation.
