LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has imposed financial penalties on nine Pakistan cricketers over alleged disciplinary violations during the team’s West Indies tour, according to sources
According to the details, ten players were allegedly fined $800 each, while another player was reportedly handed a fine exceeding $800. The reports attributed the penalties to alleged visits to bars and pubs during the West Indies series.
The claim has also suggested that wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan escaped any penalty.
However, the reported fines and the alleged reason behind them have not been independently confirmed by the PCB in its official disciplinary announcements available publicly.
The ICC did confirm disciplinary action against Pakistan players Khurram Shahzad and Mohammad Abbas during the first Test against West Indies, but those sanctions were related to their on-field conduct, not alleged visits to bars or pubs.
