LAHORE (Kashmir English): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday said that police have arrested Aleema Khan in Lahore ahead of a planned protest march to Islamabad by the party on September 27.
Sources said that former prime minister Imran Khan’s sister was taken into custody from her residence in Upper Mall, Lahore, under Section 3 of the Punjab Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance, 1960 (3 MPO).
After her detention, Aleema was taken to Lytton police station. Later, she was sent to Kot Lakhpat Jail for 30 days under an MPO order issued by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore, sources added.
