TEHRAN (Kashmir English): US President Donald Trump has said he will make a decision regarding Iran soon, adding that several options are currently under consideration.
According to a foreign news agency, Trump said the options include further weakening Iran’s economy, reaching an agreement with Tehran, and other measures, including the destruction of Iran.
The US president said major developments could take place in the near future. He also indicated that he would be open to meeting Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session.
Meanwhile, the US administration has approved visas for Pezeshkian and other senior Iranian officials to attend the UN General Assembly in New York.
Pezeshkian is expected to address the General Assembly and present Iran’s position on international issues, including the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States.
During his visit, the Iranian president is also expected to hold meetings with leaders and senior officials from various countries. Discussions are likely to focus on bilateral relations, regional and global developments, and issues of mutual interest.
The Iranian delegation is also expected to hold meetings with representatives of several countries, with further details likely to be announced later.
