ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Iqbal Afridi has warned that electricity supply from Tarbela and Warsak dams could be cut off if roads are blocked further.
His remarks come amid escalating tensions following statements by PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar regarding the party’s planned September 27 protest in Islamabad.

Meanwhile, a shooting incident involving PTI MPA Shakeel Khan from Malakand has drawn the attention of authorities. According to reports, guards associated with the MPA allegedly opened fire on Levies personnel, injuring two officials.
Footage purportedly showing the firing has also surfaced. Authorities have taken serious notice of the incident, while an FIR has reportedly been registered against Shakeel Khan and his employees.
Levies officials said that no leniency would be shown in the case and that legal action would be taken against those responsible.
The developments follow controversial remarks attributed to Junaid Akbar regarding the September 27 protest, in which he reportedly threatened to turn Islamabad into “Somnath” and said the city would be destroyed.
