MAKKAH (Kashmir English): Sheikh Ibrahim bin Adel Al-Madani, a muadhin (caller to prayer) at the Masjid al-Haram in Saudi Arabia, has passed away.
Following the news of his passing, those associated with the Two Holy Mosques and his admirers have expressed deep sorrow and grief.
According to Saudi media, Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Madani was one of the 24 primary muadhins attached to the Mukabariyah (the designated area for muslims at the Masjid al-Haram.
Among these muadhins, six serve on a rotational basis for the five daily prayers and the first Azan for the Fajr prayer. Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Madani was particularly renowned for the Fajr Azan, the Takbirat, and relaying the Takbirat behind the Imam.
Sheikh Ibrahim bin Adel Al-Madani’s name is also listed among the *muadhins* of the Masjid al-Haram on the official website of the authority managing the Two Holy Mosques.
In a past interview, Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Madani had recounted the story of his first Azan at the Masjid al-Haram. He shared that he had become emotional upon hearing his own voice calling the *Adhan* while observing the people performing Tawaf (circumambulation) around the Holy Kaaba.
Following the news of his death, videos and audio recordings of his Azan and Takbirat are being shared on social media platforms, and messages honoring his memory are circulating widely.
Upon Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Madani’s passing, his admirers and those associated with the Two Holy Mosques have expressed their grief and offered prayers for the forgiveness of the deceased.
