RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): The proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) social media accounts have claimed drone attacks by security forces on a sit-in in Rawalakot, sharing a photo of a quadcopter drone as evidence.

However, a reverse-image search indicates that the photograph is not new and was already circulating online months before the reported incident.

The fact check showed that the image of the quadcopter drone shared by the JAAC propaganda account was posted online on April 6 and 7, 2026.

Originally, this Afghan Taliban drone was shot down by Pakistan Army troops along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on April 6.

JAAC’s anti-state propaganda online

In posts circulating online, Action Committee members alleged that drone attacks had been carried out on the Rawalakot sit-in on November 5.

The fake claims prove the Action Committee’s propaganda campaign against the state and Pakistan’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies.
