RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): Armed men of the banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) opened fire on police and security personnel from residential buildings during a road clearance operation in Rawalakot.
According to security sources, police launched the operation to remove a roadblock around the Rawalakot bus terminal area that had disrupted transport and caused difficulties for local residents.
However, miscreants at the sit-in allegedly opened fire on law enforcement personnel, prompting police to respond.
