QUETTA (Kashmir English): Security forces have killed eight to ten terrorists during a search and sanitization operation conducted under Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3 in the Kambela and Asimabad areas on the outskirts of Quetta on Thursday.

According to security sources, the operation covered an area of approximately 68 square kilometres, during which forces searched and cleared suspected militant hideouts.

During the operation, 8 to 10 terrorists were killed, of which 2 bodies were recovered, while 3 to 4 terrorists were injured, including terrorist commander Shaukat Mama.

In addition, 12 suspects were taken into custody, sources said. During the operation, hideouts of terrorists were eliminated, and flags of Fitna-ul-Hindustan were removed.

As per sources, security forces have made it clear that Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3 will continue with full force until the complete elimination of terrorism.

Earlier today, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said at least 12 terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy Fitna Al Hindustan were killed in two intelligence-based operations across Balochistan under the Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3 on August 5 and 6.

In a statement, the military’s media wing said that security forces picked up the movement of six terrorists in Washuk District on August 5. “Troops effectively engaged these terrorists, killing all six of them.”

In another intelligence-based operation, six terrorists were sent to hell in Mustang on August 6 after an intense fire exchange between armed forces and the terrorists. Moreover, a terrorist hideout was also destroyed, the ISPR said.

“Under vision Azm e Istehkam (as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan), security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” it stated.
