ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government on Thursday reduced petrol and diesel prices, effective from Friday, August 7, a day after the hike in the price of petrol.
According to the notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol was lowered by Rs 3.19 per liter, and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 1.50 per liter.
“The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised the new ex-depot prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) effective from tonight,” the notification stated. “The price will remain in effect on August 6,” it added.
With the latest revision, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 329.82 per liter and diesel at Rs 382.36 per liter.

Yesterday, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) increased the petrol price by Rs 4.45 per liter and reduced the diesel price by Rs 2 per liter. The petrol price was fixed at Rs 333.1 per liter and diesel at Rs 383.86 per liter.
