SP Mirza Zahid Hussain talked about the use of print, electronic, and social media, stating that the current era is very fast-paced, where even a small piece of news spreads across the world in an instant.
“Therefore, social media should be used positively. Those who defame honourable people with fake IDs will not be forgiven, nor will religious hatred be tolerated.”
He said such individuals will be brought to justice through cybercrime laws. He urged scout leaders to play a positive role in society and to inform the public, through children and teachers, not to engage in any negative activities related to social media.
He said that mobile phones are both life and death for us. People are called with fake calls asking for money, and false news and chaos are spread.
In case of any such incident, immediately inform the police. The police will ensure the protection of the lives and property of the public, he assured.
