MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Government departments in Azad Kashmir have become active following the formation of the PML-N government, with Prime Minister Syed Iftikhar Gilani directing employees to step out of their offices and actively perform their duties.
Following the prime minister’s directives, sanitation activities have been launched across the city, while work on other public-service matters is also underway.
Citizens have appealed to the prime minister to pay special attention to the Electricity Department and address the issue of loose and dangling power lines in different areas. They also called for measures to reduce load-shedding.
Residents expressed confidence in the young prime minister, saying they hoped he would listen to their concerns and resolve the city’s longstanding issues.
PM AJK pays tribute to Quaid-e-Azam on his death anniversary
Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Iftikhar Gilani has paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his death anniversary, recalling his historic leadership and struggle for the creation of Pakistan.
In a special message, Prime Minister Gilani described Quaid-e-Azam as a great leader of the Subcontinent whose inspiring leadership enabled the Muslims of the region to achieve their long-cherished dream of an independent homeland.
He said the death anniversary of the founder of Pakistan was an occasion to remember Quaid-e-Azam’s sacrifices and renew the nation’s commitment to his vision and principles.
He stressed that the Quaid’s vision, political struggle and determination continue to serve as a guiding light for the people of Pakistan and Kashmir.
Referring to the Kashmir dispute, Iftikhar Gilani highlighted the importance the Quaid-e-Azam attached to Kashmir, recalling his statement that Kashmir was the “jugular vein of Pakistan.”
The AJK premier said the dream of the completion of Pakistan would remain unfulfilled until Kashmiris achieved their right to freedom. He reaffirmed that the people of Kashmir would continue their struggle for freedom in accordance with the ideals and principles of Quaid-e-Azam.
Prime Minister Gilani said the Quaid’s legacy demanded unity, determination and commitment to the cause of justice. He urged the nation, particularly the younger generation, to understand the sacrifices behind the creation of Pakistan and work collectively for the country’s stability, prosperity and progress.
He reiterated that Quaid-e-Azam’s vision would continue to inspire Pakistanis and Kashmiris in their pursuit of a peaceful, prosperous and sovereign future.
