RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 may resume in the coming days with Rawalpindi most likely to host the remaining matches of the tournament which was abruptly suspended due to heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.

The remaining fixtures include five league matches and three knockout fixtures —Qualifier, Eliminator 1, Eliminator 2, and the Final.

According to sources, after the ceasefire reached between Pakistan and India, league administration is now working to assemble all six teams in Islamabad with the remaining PSL matches likely to be held in Rawalpindi.

They said PSL authorities have asked franchises to keep their overseas players stationed in Dubai while they have been asked to keep local players ready for action.

Rawalpindi the frontrunner to host PSL remainder

With Rawalpindi being considered the frontrunner to host the remainder of the tournament, efforts are underway to gather all six teams in Islamabad.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) indefinitly postponed the tournament citing deteriorating regional security situation after heightened hostilities at the Line of Control.

The PCB responded to the escalating tensions by delaying the remaining eight matches of the 2025 event.

Before India and Pakistan reached the ceasefire, it was reported that PCB might shift all remaining games to the UAE.

The tournament had entered its final stage before the event was suspended, with Quetta Gladiators leading the table.

They have already qualified for the playoffs with six wins in nine fixtures.

Karachi Kings and Islamabad United follow with 10 points each, while Lahore Qalandars sit in fourth place with nine points.

Peshawar Zalmi is still in playoff contention, while Multan Sultans have been out of the event after just one win in nine games.
