ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has challenged Sohail Afridi to a televised debate, stating that he is a partner to terrorists.
Khawaja Asif remarked that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder himself was the staunchest supporter of resettling terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; his speeches in the assembly and media records bear witness to this.
In a statement on X, he noted that terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa surged during the PTI founder’s tenure. He pointed out that the province’s leadership refuses to even visit the homes of slain citizens to offer condolences, let alone the families of martyred soldiers, asking if they have visited the home of even a single civilian martyr for this purpose.
In his post, Khawaja Asif further alleged that the leadership of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa not only loots public funds but also gives a share of the proceeds to terrorists in the form of extortion money.
Addressing the PTI Chief Minister, the Defense Minister stated, “You are a partner to terrorists, and your hands are stained with the blood spilled in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; the nation and God will hold you accountable.”
