Sri Lankan team arrives in Islamabad for T20, ODI Series

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Sri Lanka’s 16-member national cricket team has arrived in Islamabad, led by captain Kusal Mendis, to participate in the T20 and ODI series. 

Upon the visiting team’s arrival at Islamabad Airport, PCB officials welcomed them with traditional warmth and enthusiasm, presenting bouquets to the players and extending a cordial welcome.

Both Sri Lanka and England have announced their ODI squads for the international series, marking the beginning of another exciting phase of international cricket in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, despite the timely announcement of squads and the arrival of the visiting and opposing teams, the host nation’s team management has yet to announce its own squad.

Kusal Mendis is leading the 16-member Sri Lankan squad for the T20 and ODI tri-series.

The other players included in the squad are Pathum Nissanka, Avishka Fernando, Kamil Mishara, Pavan Rathnayake, Sahan Arachchige, Kamindu Mendis, Janith Liyanage, Dasun Shanaka, Dunith Wellalage, Maheesh Theekshana, Sachindu Colombage, Dushmantha Chameera, Asitha Fernando, Dilshan Madushanka, and Eshan Malinga.

 It is worth noting that the arrival of foreign teams has continued since the full restoration of international cricket in Pakistan.
