MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): A rally organized by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Muzaffarabad on Saturday witnessed comparatively low attendance, with many seats at the venue remaining unoccupied.
According to the details, a large number of chairs had been arranged in the PTI rally in Muzaffarabad; however, only a limited number of participants were present even after the scheduled time of the gathering. The delay in the arrival of the central party leadership also appeared to affect the overall momentum of the event.
Reports alleged that the absence of senior leaders and the slow buildup of the rally have clearly affected the enthusiasm at the venue. Workers and attendees were seen waiting for the leadership, while questions were raised in political circles regarding organizational preparedness and turnout.
The development has sparked discussion about possible reasons behind the low participation, including logistical issues, delayed coordination, or reduced mobilization at the local level. However, no official statement has been issued by the party leadership regarding the turnout.
Moreover, the rally comes at a time when political activity remains active across the region, drawing attention to party organization and public engagement in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The timing of the rally also raises more serious questions, as it is happening when peace talks are underway in Islamabad. At a time when the world is looking positively at Pakistan as a good force, there is an attempt to create chaos in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Mismanagement, Low Attendance Mark PTI AJK Rally
Moreover, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Azad Kashmir rally faced organizational issues, with workers complaining about mismanagement during the gathering.
According to reports, around 4,000 chairs were announced by the organizers, but only about 2,000 were reportedly installed at the venue. Despite that, attendees say even those seats remained partially unfilled. During the address of the Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, some workers were pushed off the stage, raising concerns over crowd handling and discipline at the event.
The Chief Minister’s speech appeared to take place in front of a relatively sparse audience.
