MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Senior leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Saturday held another round of talks in Muzaffarabad ahead of the second phase of the election in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), scheduled to be held on August 2.

The meeting was attended by senior leaders from both parties, with discussions focused on matters relating to the upcoming polls in Muzaffarabad division and Kashmiri refugee constituencies across Pakistan.

The PML-N delegation included Senator and Adviser to PM Rana Sanaullah, Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam, Senator Saud Majeed, Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, Chaudhry Abdul Rehman Arain and Rana Shehryar Khan.

The PPP delegation was represented by AJK Prime Minister Faisal Rathore, Senator Nayyar Bukhari and Qamar Zaman Kaira.

The meeting is part of ongoing political consultations between the leaders of the coalition partners to prevent the political fallout from allegations of electoral rigging in the first phase of AJK elections held in Mirpur division.
