Pakistani jets enter Kabul airspace, bomb Taliban militant locations

KABUL (Kashmir English): Pakistani jets Monday entered Kabul’s airspace and bombed several Taliban militant locations in the city and also in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan in a fresh assault on the militant hideouts.

Known Afghan freelance journalist Ahmed Sharifzad also confirmed the development, saying there was heavy bombing of Nangarhar by Pakistan.

in a post on X, he said Pakistan Air Force fighter jets have entered Kabul’s airspace, and that Kabul is currently echoing with gunfire.

According to security sources, in the Zinda sector of North Waziristan, the Taliban attempted to prepare forces for an attack, which was thwarted by effective firing.

Security sources stated that Afghan Taliban attempted to fire with small arms, but these were also neutralized by effective mortar, tank, and artillery fire.

Furthermore, 10 airstrikes were carried out at various locations to hunt down terrorists and destroy military infrastructure.

According to confirmed reports, TTA and Khawarij have suffered further casualties, however, there have been no casualties for Pakistan Security Forces across the entire front.

According to sources, in the Chitral sector, a request for a flag meeting has been received from the Afghan Taliban through local elders for the return of five bodies of Afghan Taliban who were killed by Pakistani armed forces on the night of February 26 and 27, and the Taliban fled leaving the bodies behind.

Sources further stated that at several locations along the front, Afghan forces have raised white flags on their posts, indicating a willingness to de-escalate and avoid further fighting.
