HONG KONG (Kashmir English): Pakistan’s women’s netball team has won the Plate Division title at the Asian Netball Championship 2026 by defeating Thailand 50-55.
With this success, the national team has also qualified for the cup division of the Asian Netball Championship to be held in 2028.
In the decisive match against Thailand, Pakistani players demonstrated excellent teamwork from the beginning and maintained their lead despite the pressure.
The national team played in an organized manner and won the match by a margin of 5 goals, ending their brilliant campaign with success.
Players including Saba Noor Anwar, Maya, Lia Raza Shah, Hina Chaudhry, Serena Naseem, Jasmine, Farah, Noorul Ain and Samaya Safdar played an important role in Pakistan’s success.
Pakistan had booked their place in the deciding match by defeating Japan in the semi-finals on Friday before the final.
The national team will now be seen in action in the Cup Division of the 2028 Asian Championships, which will be hosted by Singapore.
This success is being described as a major milestone for Pakistan Women’s Netball.
