ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan’s youth girls netball team made the nation proud by winning the Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship 2025, held in Jeonju, South Korea. The team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, showcasing exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination.
The final of the Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship, played at the Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium in Jeonju, South Korea, marked an unbeaten run for Pakistan, who won all seven of their matches in the tournament.
From the first whistle, Pakistan’s players took charge of the contest, racing ahead to a 17-5 lead by the end of the opening quarter. The team continued to build on that strong start, stretching the margin to 34-17 at halftime. By the end of the third quarter, Pakistan was firmly in control at 45-23, leaving Maldives with no way back into the game.
Pakistan’s attack was sharp and unrelenting, while their defence repeatedly shut down Maldives’ attempts to rally. Key contributions came from Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Sumayya Kouser, Haleema, Jasmine Farooq, Alina, Amani, Parisa, and Farah Rasheed, all of whom played pivotal roles in the decisive win.
The result was a proud moment for Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) officials, who hailed the team’s performance. Chairman Mudassir Arian, President Sameen Malik, and Secretary General Muhammad Riaz congratulated the players and coaching staff for their hard work and discipline throughout the Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship.

The Asian Youth Girls Netball championship, was played under the aegis of the Asian Netball Federation, featured eleven teams divided into two groups. Group A includes Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong and India, while Group B comprises Pakistan, Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, Maldives and Saudi Arabia.
