MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Istehkam-e- Pakistan Party (IPP) has issued party tickets to its candidates in 35 constituencies for the 2026 general elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
President IPP Abdul Aleem Khan and President IPP Azad Kashmir and former Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan jointly distributed tickets to the candidates.
According to the party, former Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan will contest the general elections from 3 constituencies.
The party ticket for LA-25 Neelum-1 was received by Dr. Sardar Zafar Iqbal and Sardar Sajjad Gul, sons of former government minister Late Alhaj Gul Khandan.
The ticket distribution ceremony was attended by the central leadership of Istehkam-e- Pakistan Party, Secretary General IPP Azad Kashmir Dr. Nisar Ansar Abdali, a large number of candidates and workers from all over Azad Kashmir.
According to the list released by the party, tickets have been issued to Muhammad Maroof from LA-2, Taimur Hassan Farooq from LA-4, Iftikhar Hussain from LA-5, Chaudhry Ali Shan Soni from LA-6, and Raja Irfan from LA-7.
In addition, Malik Zulfiqar from LA-8, Tahir Farid from LA-9, Malik Yousuf from LA-10, Raja Talib from LA-11, Sabiha Siddique from LA-12, Dr. Nisar Ansar Abdali from LA-13, Raja Fahim Farooq from LA-14, and Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan from LA-15 will be IPP candidates.
According to the IPP, Chaudhry Ijaz Khatana from LA-16, Chaudhry Aamir Nazir from LA-17, Murtaza Ali Ahmed from LA-18, Shahzad Aziz from LA-19, Bilal Shakeel Advocate from LA-21, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan from LA-22, Sardar Raees Inqilabi from LA-23, Sardar Inayatullah Arif from LA-24 will contest the election.
In addition, party tickets have been issued to Sardar Tanveer Ilyas from LA-25, Sardar Tabarak from LA-27, Raja Mazhar Qayyum from LA-31, Abdul Qadeer Gujjar from LA-35, Tahir Khokhar from LA-39, Saleem Butt from LA-40, Saleem Ahmed Dar from LA-41, Bilal Butt from LA-42 and Hamza Bazmi from LA-43.
The party has not yet announced the candidates for LA 1, LA 3, LA 20, LA 26, LA 28, LA 29 and LA 30, while the names of the candidates for LA 32, LA 33 and LA 34 have also not been released.
