POONCH (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Election Commission has completely denied all the rumors circulating regarding the general elections in Poonch division and clarified that the polling will be held on August 10 as per the scheduled schedule.
According to the details, the Election Commission has issued its official and final stand on the rumors and unconfirmed news coming out regarding the third and final phase of the electoral process in Azad Kashmir.
Under the clear orders of the Election Commission, instructions have been given to complete the electoral process and preparations on time so that the public does not face any kind of confusion and the democratic process can proceed without any delay.
Polling will be held in all 6 constituencies
The Election Commission has strongly denied the news circulating regarding the postponement of the elections. It has been clarified on administrative grounds that there is no truth in the news of postponement of elections in 6 constituencies of Poonch division, and these are just baseless rumors.
As per the orders issued by the administration, the voting process in all the constituencies of Poonch division will be completed transparently on August 10 itself, adhering to the scheduled schedule.
After this final announcement by the Election Commission, all the ambiguity about the postponement of the electoral process in the region has been eliminated.
