RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Chief of Defence of the Armed Forces of DR Congo, Lieutenant General Banza Mwilambwe Jules, on Friday, called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, the visiting dignitary, along with a high-level defence delegation, was presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent upon arrival at GHQ.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, the regional security environment, and avenues for enhanced bilateral defence and security cooperation were discussed.

Both dignitaries expressed satisfaction over the longstanding cordial relations between Pakistan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Furthermore, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed, which aims at broadening and strengthening defence and security cooperation between the two countries.
Earlier, Lieutenant General Banza Mwilambwe Jules also called on Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu.
“The visiting dignitary lauded the professionalism, operational capabilities, and unwavering commitment of the Armed Forces of Pakistan towards maintaining peace and stability in the region and acknowledged the significant progress achieved through indigenization and self-reliance,” the statement concluded.
