ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Passport Department states that a total of 55,72,013 passports were issued from different cities across the country during the last year (2025).
Such a large number of Pakistan’s passports were issued in a year has been recorded after many years.
The Passport Department said that 32,75,263 passports were issued in the normal category and 18,39,487 passports were issued in the urgent category.
It was further stated that 276,789 passports were issued in the fast-track category.
The Passport Department said that the facility of keeping passport offices open 24 hours in different cities of the country has historically facilitated the issuance of passports.
