RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Security forces neutralised eight India-backed Fitna Al Hindustan terrorists during intelligence-backed operations (IBO) in Balochistan’s Kharan and Mastung areas on June 25 and 26, a statement issued by the military’s media wing said.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out by the security forces in Kharan after tracking the movement of a group of militants belonging to the Indian proxy Fitna al-Hindustan on June 25.
The military’s media wing said, adding that troops engaged the militants in a timely and effective operation, killing three of them while injuring several others.
In another engagement on June 26, a pre-emptive intelligence-based operation was conducted in Mastung District against the possible presence of a suicide bomber, the ISPR said.
“During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorist location and after an intense fire exchange, five terrorists, including a suicide bomber, were successfully neutralised.”
Weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices, and motorbikes used by these terrorists were also recovered, the military said.
“Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area. Relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.”
