RIYADH (Kashmir English): The heavy rains and strong winds that have been continuing in Saudi Arabia have made the situation more serious in various areas. This intensity of weather is not only affecting urban life, but scenes of destruction are also emerging in many areas. Climate change has affected normal life, and the administration has had to take emergency measures in many places.

Yanbu city was one of the most affected areas by the heavy rains, where water accumulated in low-lying areas due to the rain. As a result of this continuous rain and strong winds, the roofs of many buildings collapsed, while the windows were also shattered.

Due to the collapse of the roofs, debris fell on the roads and vehicles, due to which several vehicles were completely destroyed. People at the local level faced difficulties, and movement in the affected areas was also limited.

According to weather reports, this system of heavy rains is also moving towards other cities, due to which the situation is likely to worsen in more areas. In view of this prediction, various measures have been taken to ensure the lives of citizens.

Due to the alert and dangers of bad weather, it was decided to close all educational institutions in Jeddah and Rabigh today. According to officials, all classes have been transferred online to ensure the safety of students and teaching staff.

The administration said that this decision was taken after the warning issued by the Saudi Meteorological Department, which identified the dangers due to heavy rains and strong winds.

On the other hand, heavy rains are also continuing intermittently in Medina and its adjacent areas. These rains have created flooding conditions in low-lying areas and desert valleys, where water has quickly filled, and low-lying lands have been submerged. Local administrations are monitoring the situation, while citizens have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel.
