KARACHI (Kashmir Englsih): A grenade attack has been reported at the main gate of the KTC Rangers headquarters near the Meteorological Department in Karachi on Saturday.
Following the incident, security agencies launched an immediate response and reportedly detained several individuals for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
Based on the initial report, the attackers detonated an explosive device on a car close to the gate of the Meteorological Department. The likely motive of the perpetrators was to gain entry into the Rangers’ headquarters by way of the premises of the Meteorological Department.
The security forces reacted swiftly and prevented the perpetrators from accessing the Rangers’ headquarters.
As per the initial reports, the operation is underway and one terrorist was killed, while efforts were being made to eliminate others.
