MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a fresh weather advisory forecasting rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms in several parts of the country, including Kashmir, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a national probability of rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in the Kashmir region and the adjoining districts of Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Along with this, the weather in Gilgit-Baltistan will also remain partly cloudy, while light to moderate rain is expected at a few places.
Weather in Islamabad and Lahore
The Meteorological Department has also predicted rain in the federal capital Islamabad today, where the weather will remain hot and humid during the day, while rain is likely in the morning and evening.
The temperature in Islamabad was recorded at 25 degrees Celsius in the morning, which can reach 36 degrees Celsius during the day. Winds are likely to blow at a speed of 11 kilometers per hour in the city, and the humidity ratio in the air is likely to be more than 61 percent.
On the other hand, the weather became pleasant due to rain in different areas of Lahore, the capital of Punjab, early this morning, while the intensity of the heat has significantly reduced due to cool winds. The probability of rain in Lahore today is 20 to 80 percent, and the weather in the city will remain partly cloudy with intermittent rain expected throughout the day.
Karachi weather
The current temperature in Lahore has been recorded at 31 degrees Celsius, while the maximum is expected to be 35 and the minimum is expected to be 27 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department says that winds are blowing at a speed of 8 kilometers per hour in Lahore and the humidity ratio in the air has been recorded at 77 percent. Citizens have been instructed to stay informed about the latest weather conditions and take precautionary measures.
On the other hand, the weather in Karachi is also partly cloudy, where clouds and sunshine are alternating. According to the Meteorological Department, the sky in Karachi will remain mostly cloudy throughout the day; the weather will remain humid, while light drizzle is expected in the evening.
