PESHAWAR (Kashmir English): Security forces killed 17 terrorists in various successful intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, while six brave security personnel were martyred in a cowardly IED blast in Hangu.
Operations under ‘Radd-ul-Finta 3’ are continuing with full intensity in Balochistan, where an additional seven terrorists were eliminated.
According to security sources, five terrorists affiliated with ‘Fitna-al-Hind’ were killed in an engagement in the Fatah Ali area of Panjgur; a large quantity of modern weapons and ammunition was recovered from their possession.
In another successful intelligence-based operation in the Dhadar area of Kachhi district, two terrorists were killed and several others injured. Security force operations to establish complete law and order and eliminate terrorist elements in the province are continuing uninterrupted.
Separately, according to the Pakistan Army’s media wing (ISPR), security forces conducted a targeted operation in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa following reports of the presence of Khwarij.
The forces successfully targeted the *Khwarij* hideout, killing six of them following an intense exchange of fire. In another clash between security forces and Khwarij in Hangu district, four Khwarij were killed.
Meanwhile, on September 17, a security forces convoy was targeted by a landmine; six brave sons of the soil embraced martyrdom in this IED blast.
All the slain terrorists, belonging to the Khwarij, were backed by India, and a large cache of explosives and weapons has been recovered from their hideouts.
