Rawalpindi Police bust pornography network, arrest 11-member gang

RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Rawalpindi Police have arrested an 11-member gang from Rawat, Rawalpindi, for allegedly producing and live-streaming obscene videos on adult websites.

The Rawalpindi Police spokesperson said that the arrested suspects include seven women, one of whom is a foreign national. Two foreigners and two Pakistani men were also arrested.

During the raid, the police party from Rawat Police Station recovered laptops, high-end mobile phones, and other electronic equipment used for live streaming. A 9mm pistol and ammunition were also recovered from the scene.

The statement said the arrested individuals were not only recording explicit videos but were also uploading them to various sites.

The individual has been apprehended, and significant revelations are expected during the investigation, a police spokesperson said, adding that investigations are underway to arrest other accomplices and facilitators of the gang.

The statement further added that the scope of the investigation has been expanded in coordination with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).

No one will escape the grip of accountability; regardless of who is involved, action will be taken without discrimination,” the statement added.
