LAHORE (Kashmir English): The ongoing separation between digital creators Rajab Butt and Emaan Fatima has taken a new turn, with the vlogger’s mother emerging as a key voice in efforts to salvage the marriage.
The couple, once known for their lavish wedding and strong online presence, has remained at the centre of social media debate after Rajab confirmed divorce proceedings and sent a legal notice to Emaan.
Despite mediation attempts by family members and religious figures, including Allama Asif Raza Alvi, no breakthrough has been reported.
In the latest development, a voice note attributed to Rajab’s mother surfaced online, offering insight into the family’s stance. The message, widely circulated across social platforms, reflects a conciliatory tone, though it also places responsibility on Emaan to take the first step.
According to the audio, Rajab’s mother expressed willingness to “forgive and forget,” urging Emaan to return and prioritise her marriage. She emphasised her desire to see the relationship restored, stating she would personally intervene if tensions arose between the couple.
Observers note that in Pakistani society, especially in urban middle-class families, elders often play a decisive role in marital disputes. Mothers, in particular, are seen as mediators who try to prevent the breakdown of marriages, even in high-profile digital circles.

The YouTuber Rajab Butt, who creates controversial content, provided an emotional response to the online content reports on his current marriage situation.
The internet has been buzzing with speculation, criticism, and heated debates, but Rajab blamed himself for the biggest mistake. The video message that Rajab Butt posted online showed his admission that he made a wrong decision when he chose to answer questions about his marriage through social media platforms.

Rajab declared that he will cease all social media discussions about his private and wedding life at this point because he is currently addressing the matter through judicial and Sharia procedures.
He explained that he will meet all religious and legal obligations required to complete his marriage dispute settlement according to the notice he already received.
