ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): An important meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PTI AJK) is scheduled to take place in Islamabad today.

According to the sources, the meeting will be attended by Chairman Barrister Gauhar, Central Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Azad Kashmir, former Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, and other senior leaders.

The meeting will focus on consultations regarding the ongoing political turmoil in Azad Kashmir, including the no-confidence motion against PTI-backed Prime Minister Anwarul Haq, sources added.

The leadership is expected to finalize its strategy to counter recent political developments and to determine the party’s formal response.

The central leadership will also outline the party’s next course of action in the wake of defections and political realignments in the AJK Assembly.

PTI sources confirmed that all major decisions,  including legal proceedings, parliamentary action, and potential resignations, will be taken in line with the directives of PTI founder Imran Khan.

Additionally, the central leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to take legal action against party members who won on PTI tickets but voted for the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate in the recent election for the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

The party has also announced plans to name its own candidate for the AJK Prime Ministership.
