BAGH (Kashmir English): Four people, including two women and two children, died in an explosion at a house in Pandi village in Dhirkot, Bagh district, on Thursday evening, according to district police.
In a statement, a Bagh police spokesperson said that the explosion was reported at around 7 pm on October 29 at the house of Shakdar.
The police official, citing eyewitnesses, said that two women, one young boy, and one girl died in the incident.
Meanwhile, an injured 15-year-old girl, identified as Aniqa Shakdar, was shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Bagh, where she is receiving treatment.
The police said that an investigation is being conducted to determine the nature and cause of the explosion.
The statement further rejected the propaganda being spread by the members of the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) on social media, terming the facts “baseless and fabricated”.
The district police said those found involved in the incident would be brought to justice.
