LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Super League (PSL) will observe Childhood Cancer Awareness Day during the Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United match at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium scheduled for today, May 03, 2025.

During the match, the campaign will be supported by teams, match officials, and commentators.

Salman Naseer, CEO of HBL PSL, stated that  “On May 3, we are commemorating Childhood Cancer Awareness as part of HBL PSL’s corporate social duty.

This demonstrates our dedication to using cricket as a platform to help spread awareness of health issues that impact a large number of people nationwide.

“We appreciate the teams, players, commentators, supporters, and media friends for their ongoing assistance in spreading awareness through the HBL PSL.” The CEO stated.

Gold ribbons, which are associated with campaigns to raise awareness of childhood cancer, will be worn by match officials and commentators at the stadium. Players from United and Gladiators will don gold ribbons and golden caps.

Three cancer patients will be welcomed to the field and given signed shirts from both sides, and the stumps used for the game will also be branded in gold.

Additionally, to raise awareness of the condition, messages regarding children’s cancer would be shown on the stadium’s digital displays.
