ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has told Afghan students studying in various medical and dental colleges of Pakistan to get back to their native land and has also asked these colleges to prepare the papers for their exit.
Meanwhile, the PMDC has minimized the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to Afghan students.
As per the new instruction, no Afghan student shall be permitted for admission in medical and dental schools in the current academic session, and any Afghan student shall not be accepted for placement, transfer, and migration to medical and dental institutions of Pakistan.
The PMDC has asked medical and dental institutions to not offer any services and assistance to Afghan nationals and follow the guidelines laid down earlier.
For institutions who failed to submit the compliance report have been given three days to file complete details, and any lapse on their side will invoke stringent regulatory actions.
According to the PMDC, any lapses shall invite actions under the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Act 2022.

According to the PMDC, the letter issued on September 1 with regard to Afghan students is simply reiterating its prior guidelines issued on July 31.
