ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC) has made an arrangement for candidates of MDCAT 2026 having domicile in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to apply via hard copy because some applicants could not register themselves via online registration.
In a public notice released on July 20, it has been clarified that the provision of applying via hard copy is being provided only to those candidates who hold domicile in AJK and had issues in registering themselves through the online registration process of PM&DC.
Eligible candidates will have to submit their application through hard copy along with a bank draft of Rs. 13,000 in the favor of PM&DC, Islamabad and all other required documents.
Documents should be submitted by the candidates at the Examination Department of PM&DC, Head Office, G-10/4, Mauve Area, Islamabad.
Also, the council has told the candidates to make sure that their applications reach PM&DC by July 23, 2026, within working hours.
Moreover, PM&DC has suggested that candidates contact its Examination Department on 051-9190000 (Extension 302) in case of any queries.
MDCAT 2026 centers
In Sindh, MDCAT will be conducted under IBA University, Sukkur; the University of Health Sciences, Lahore, will conduct the admission test in Punjab, while in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khyber Medical University, Peshawar, and in Balochistan, Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences, Quetta, will oversee MDCAT.
The examination in Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Riyadh will be conducted by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad.
According to PMDC, a test center will be established in Islamabad for students of Balochistan under the supervision of Bolan University, and candidates with Balochistan domicile will benefit from the additional examination center.
MDCAT in Sindh will take place in centers established in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, and Larkana. In Punjab, candidates will participate in the test in 14 different cities.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, examination centers will be set up in 8 cities, including Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, and Abbottabad, while candidates in Balochistan will be able to take the exam in Quetta, and a test center will also be set up in Riyadh for international candidates.
