MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Muzaffarabad administration has taken stern action against encroachments on the walkways and removed several installations in the city.
The operation was carried out on the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner Muzaffarabad. He said measures were being taken by the district administration to keep the walkways free from encroachments.

According to Naib Tehsildar, Ayaz Chughtai, in compliance with the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner Muzaffarabad, encroachments have been removed, while action is being taken against the violators as per the regulations.
According to the administration, the purpose of removing encroachments on the walkways is to provide better facilities for citizens for movement and walking.
Citizens have also been appealed to refrain from establishing encroachments at public places and to cooperate with the administration so that discipline could be maintained in the city.
