MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has criticized the banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) for its duality, accusing its members of deliberately disrupting public services and administrative operations.
In a post on X, Ratore alleged that the Awami Action Committee raised slogans aimed at crippling public services and creating pressure on state institutions.
The actions were intended to intimidate the government and show people that they hold more power than the state, PM Rathore said.
“First, they raise such slogans which are reflective of their strategy to cripple public services and civil administrative structure. They do this with the aim of intimidating the government and showing people that they are more powerful than the State,” he captioned the video, which showed core members of JAAC, Khawaja Mehran, inciting the public against the state and chanting the slogan “Band Matlab Band”.

He further said that then, the Action Committee members blame the same government when food and medicine supplies run short in areas where they themselves impose lockdowns.
“This circus should end, and these charlatans should realize their game is over,” he wrote.
Sedition case against Khawaja Mehran
Earlier today, Muzaffarabad Police registered a sedition case against Khawaja Mehran Arshad, a core member of the banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), over remarks allegedly made during a protest rally in Rawalakot.
According to the first information report (FIR), Khawaja Mehran, while addressing participants at the rally, allegedly made statements targeting state institutions.
The FIR, registered at the Civil Secretariat Police Station, Muzaffarabad, stated that during the protest rally in Rawalakot, Khawaja Mehran criticised the Pakistan Army and other state institutions and also incited people to revolt against the state.
His speech went viral on social media, in which he can be heard inciting the Kashmiri soldiers of the Pakistan Army to revolt and asking them to return to Azad Kashmir.
