ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government increased petrol price and reduced diesel price late Wednesday, a day after the reduction in prices of both petroleum products.
According to the notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol was hiked by Rs 4.45 per liter, and high-speed diesel (HSD) was reduced by Rs 2 per liter.
“The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised the new ex-depot prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) effective from tonight,” the notification stated. “The price will remain in effect on August 6,” it added.
With the latest revision, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 333.1 per liter and diesel at Rs 383.86 per liter.
Yesterday, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) reduced the petrol price by Rs 3.39 per liter and the diesel price by Rs 4.07 per liter. The petrol price was fixed at Rs 328.56 per liter and diesel at Rs 385.86 per liter.
