QUETTA (Kashmir English): Security forces have killed a wanted commander of Fitna-ul-Khawarij during an intelligence-based operation in Qilla Saifullah district of Balochistan, according to security sources.
The operation was carried out under Operation Radd-ul-Fitnah-3, during which the commander, identified as Adil Shah alias Darwesh, was killed.
Security sources said Adil Shah had been associated with the group since December 2020 and had been managing its financial affairs since 2024.
He was also accused of arranging accommodation for non-local militants in Zhob, Sherani and Shaban. Sources further alleged that he was involved in attacks on security forces and kidnapping-for-ransom cases between 2022 and 2023.
According to security sources, 19 cases had been registered against him in anti-terrorism courts, while a bounty of Rs2.5 million had been announced for his capture.
