ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government has announced lower profit rates on two important National Savings programs, the Defence Savings Certificates (DSCs) and Behbood Savings Certificates (BSCs), and published the updated rates for September 2026.

As per the revised plan, the maturity period of Defence Savings Certificates is 10 years. As per the revised plan, the investment of Rs. 100,000 will yield an amount of roughly Rs. 300,000 at maturity.

Given below is the amount to be returned as per the revised plan of Defence Savings Certificates for a sum of Rs. 100,000: The adjustment in rates is a part of the government’s recent revision to the National Savings schemes, and will impact the earnings from these government-backed savings instruments.
