MAKKAH (Kashmir English): The spiritual journey of Hajj 2025 is set to begin from today, with millions of pilgrims from all over the world eagerly waiting to perform Hajj.

As of today, pilgrims from various countries and ethnicities will arrive in Mina before noon, where they will stay until Thursday morning and engage in worship.

Today, the pilgrims tie their Ihram from their respective places of residence and perform two rak’ahs of Nafl and then leave for Mina.

On 9th Dhul Hijjah, the pilgrims will leave for the plain of Arafat, where they will perform the main pillar of Hajj, “Wuqof Arafat”.

On that day, after listening to the Hajj sermon, they will offer Zuhr and Asr prayers together and stay in Arafat until sunset.

After sunset, the pilgrims will leave the plain of Arafat for Muzdalifah, without offering Maghrib prayers, where they will offer Maghrib and Isha prayers together.

During their stay in Muzdalifah, pilgrims will collect pebbles for the stoning and spend the night under the open sky. On 10th Dhul-Hijjah, after standing in Muzdalifah, they will leave for the stoning.

On that day, the Great Satan will be sacrificed by throwing seven pebbles, then the Ihram will be removed after shaving.

On 11th Dhul-Hijjah, the pilgrims will throw pebbles on the three Jamarats, i.e., the Small, Medium, and Big Satan. According to the Sunnah, seven pebbles will be thrown at each satan, after which the pilgrims will go to the Kaaba for Tawaf-e-Ziyarat and perform Sa’i of Safa and Marwah.

On 12th Dhul-Hijjah, the three devils will be stoned after sunset, and on 13th Dhul-Hijjah, after the stoning, the pilgrims will leave Mina for their homes.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, 442 buses have been provided to Pakistani pilgrims from a Saudi government company, while the Hajj Mission has obtained 510 more buses from a private company.

During the holy month of Mushaira, 25,861 Pakistani pilgrims will travel by bus, while 62,000 Pakistanis will travel by train to Mushaira.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs further said that from Thursday, Pakistani pilgrims will walk a 4-kilometer-long route through tunnels, while they will also be able to benefit from the Saudi shuttle service.
