LAHORE (Kashmir English): Renowned Pakistani religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil received an honorary doctorate from the Florida-based American International Theism University (AITU) in recognition of his religious preaching, social reform, and humanitarian welfare.
Tariq Jamil received the honorary degree at a ceremony in Lahore, where AITU Vice Chancellor Dr Ehab Al-Shami formally conferred the award.
Recognition for religious and humanitarian work
The university recognized Tariq Jamil for his longstanding work in religious outreach, social reform, charitable activities and humanitarian service.
People from different walks of life attended the ceremony and acknowledged his contributions to religious and welfare causes.
In a message after receiving the honour, Tariq Jamil thanked Allah Almighty and said the doctorate was not merely a personal achievement but recognition of the collective efforts of those working to spread Islamic teachings, promote social reform and serve humanity.
Tariq Jamil also expressed gratitude to his teachers, colleagues, supporters and admirers, as well as those who remembered him in their prayers.
He prayed for strength and sincerity to continue serving the faith and working for the betterment of humanity.
