MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English):  Khawaja Mehran, an operative of the proscribed Joint Awami  Action Committee (JAAC),  appears to have lost his senses due to the prolonged protests. Amidst this, he has made a bizarre appeal to overseas Kashmiris.

A video of a speech by Khawaja Mehran is circulating online, in which he urges overseas Kashmiris, declaring that “enough is enough”, to besiege the British Parliament and block the London motorway if possible.

Those overseas nationalists who were hurling abuse at Pakistan from Britain out of their love for certain agitators should pay heed and fulfill Khawaja Mehran’s demand; this way, they might discover exactly how Britain would treat them.

Let those overseas individuals who spread propaganda against Pakistan carry out these actions in Britain, so they can see how the authorities there respond, in ways that Pakistan does not.

Banned JAAC members set up rooftop posts to target LEAs in Rawalakot

A video showing members of the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) building observation posts (OPs) and makeshift bunkers on the rooftops of houses in Rawalakot has emerged.

Security sources said that JAAC workers were preparing rooftop structures for observation and targeting law-enforcement personnel.

The sources further said that such activities are inconsistent with JAAC’s stated position of pursuing its demands through peaceful means and its campaign centred on basic human rights.

It shows that such actions are anti-state and shows JAAC taking law and order into its own hands.
