Petrol, diesel prices increased for Oct 9

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government on Thursday increased the petrol and diesel prices for Friday, October 9.

According to the notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol was increased by Rs2.31 per liter and high-speed diesel by Rs0.78 per liter.

“The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised the ex-depot prices of the petroleum products for October 9, 2026,” the notification stated.

With the latest revision, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 398.96 per liter and diesel at Rs 395.72 per liter.

On October 7, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) increased the petrol price to Rs 396.65 per liter and reduced the diesel price to Rs 394.94 per liter.

The revised prices are in line with the government’s ongoing policy of issuing fuel prices on a daily basis from Monday to Friday based on international oil markets.
