RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): A video showing members of the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) building observation posts (OPs) and makeshift bunkers on the rooftops of houses in Rawalakot has emerged.
Security sources said that JAAC workers were preparing rooftop structures for observation and targeting law-enforcement personnel.
The sources further said that such activities are inconsistent with JAAC’s stated position of pursuing its demands through peaceful means and its campaign centred on basic human rights.
It shows that such actions are anti-state and shows JAAC taking law and order into its own hands.
