ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Islamabad Police have refuted a viral audio clip circulating on social media that falsely claims special checking measures are being conducted for Kashmiri citizens at the boundary of the twin cities.
According to the police spokesperson, the audio clip attributed to the Islamabad Police is completely fake and misleading.
The spokesperson clarified that no special instructions have been issued for any individual or group, and that routine checking continues equally for all citizens as part of standard security procedures.
The Federal Police have urged the public not to believe or spread such false information, emphasizing that spreading fake news or rumors is a punishable legal offense.
The department also reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring public safety and maintaining peace across the federal capital.
