KOTLI (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Iftikhar Gillani, arrived in Kotli to attend a public gathering, where he was warmly welcomed by the people.
Upon his arrival, the AJK Prime Minister was accorded a guard of honour at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Kotli. He was taken to the rally venue in a traditional “buggy”.
Earlier today, upon entering Kotli district, Gillani was given a warm and grand welcome at Holar, Badli Chowk in Sehnsa and Gulpur.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, Minister for Finance and Rehabilitation Raja Muhammad Riyat, Minister for Education Schools Engineer Umair Naeem, Minister for Electricity Raja Saqib Majeed, Members of the Assembly Chaudhry Abdul Razaq, Raja Muhammad Asif and Raja Ayaz Nisar.
Hundreds of workers and citizens welcomed PM Gillani at Badli Chowk Sehnsa under the leadership of MLA Raja Muhammad Asif, where a short reception ceremony was also held.
Hundreds of PML-N workers, led by Finance and Rehabilitation Minister Raja Muhammad Riyats, welcomed the premier at Gulpur. The workers welcomed the Prime Minister and showered flower petals on his convoy.
Prime Minister Iftikhar Gilani reached the residence of the Minister of Tourism, Industries and Mineral Resources at 2 pm, where a large number of people and workers were already present to welcome him.
